It’s all the ingredients from the last film, plus an island that’s about to explode

“A rescue op. Save the dinosaurs from an island that’s about to explode.” That’s Owen, the Jurassic World hero played by Chris Pratt, explaining why he and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) are going back to the Isla Nebular, which seems like a place they’d never want to go back to. But after killing the giant Indominus dinosaur to escape the island in the last film, they now have to return to save the other dinosaurs from an active volcano … somehow.

That’s the premise that will reunite our heroes with many of the elements from the first film. This trailer showed off quite a few familiar components, including Blue, the raptor Owen trained in the first movie, now all grown up:

And a seemingly friendly Tyrannosaurus rex saving the day by attacking a more intimidating looking dinosaur:

And those clear sphere thingies they rolled around in last time:

So there you have it. It looks like much the same thing as the first Jurassic World, but this time the island is going to explode (something you think they would have thought about before they built a zoo there). We’ll have to wait until June 22, 2018, to see whether these elements still hold up.
