DevinBooker

Preseason question: Have we reached peak Booker? The Suns star is entering his 12th season in the NBA. He’s scored at least 25 points per game for eight years straight, and he’s been the best player on a team that made the Finals. But some of his statistical markers suggest a slight decline is upon us. His 3-point accuracy has hovered at 33 percent for two consecutive years, which isn’t great, while his overall effective field goal percentage has dipped meaningfully. Some of this is due to context. The Suns aren’t exactly loaded with the kind of offensive talent that can make Booker’s life easier, but it is still troubling to see these efficiency markers decline as a player reaches his prime scoring years.
