MikalBridges

Preseason question: Can he play all 82 games again? Much like everyone in New York’s starting lineup, Bridges doesn’t leave much to wonder about. This might be the quintessential modern role player, coming off a typically consistent season in which his winning impact was at once subtle and priceless. Whether you’re talking about his size, two-way versatility, shooting, or general all-around skill, Bridges offers just enough of what every team that aspires to greatness needs. His weaknesses are perceptible—he doesn’t rebound and almost never gets to the line—and his strengths are often taken for granted. But he’s on a great team that needs him and is happy to handle obligations that are below his individual ceiling.
