Lew is an athletic and physical interior lineman with starter potential when healthy—but a midseason knee injury clouds his draft stock. A three-year contributor to the Tigers line who logged every college snap at center, he has an athletic, broad-shouldered frame, good length, and nimble feet. He’s quick to move from snap to punch, showing the first-step burst to engage and stymie defensive tackles from the jump. He shoots his hands into his opponent’s chest and forklifts them off their spot, showing the ability to maintain his grip and control the rep. He blocks with good leverage and balance, keeping his knees bent and back flat. He stonewalls blitzers and drops his anchor to maintain the depth of the pocket. In the run game, he works his hands and feet together to pivot and seal on play-side reach blocks. He’s tough and physical, climbs to the second level seamlessly, and looks to bury opponents in the turf when he gets the chance. He won’t turn 21 years old until August.
Lew tore his ACL in October, an injury that limited him to just seven games last year. He could be limited in offseason activities and may even miss the start of the 2026 season. There are times when he plays too high and allows opponents to gain the leverage advantage. He’ll lean on blocks and lose his balance. He’s too easily knocked off his spot when rushers come in at an angle or on stunts. He may need to add bulk to his frame.
