The Ringer MMA Show
Can Israel Adesanya Return to Form at UFC 305? Plus, No Conor McGregor in 2024 and the Future of the Show.
About the episode
With Ariel Helwani permanently away in Cancun, Petesy Carroll, Chuck Mindenhall, and Troy Farkas begin today’s UFC 305 preview show by addressing the future of 'The Ringer MMA Show.' Then, Blanchstradamus takes a victory lap in response to Dana White’s comments that Conor McGregor will not enter the UFC Octagon in 2024. After that, the lads question why White is going to extreme lengths to protect Jon Jones, who White says will not face Alex Pereira in a heavyweight fight.
Then, in the UFC 305 preview portion of the program, the guys mostly talk about the main event: Dricus du Plessis vs. Israel Adesanya. Why is this fight not generating the buzz we thought it would? The lads debate. Plus, they get into the Africa story line and how they expect that to play out this week. And of course, they give their official predictions. After that, they touch on the flyweight co–main event and the stakes for the fight between top contenders Kai Kara-France and Steve Erceg.
And to close out the show, they tackle some Discord questions about Adesanya’s stardom, Sean Strickland’s decision to wait for the winner of the UFC 305 main event, Tai Tuivasa’s future, and more.
