The Player
Alexander is a stout run defender who explodes out of his stance and is difficult to move with one man. He presses blockers off his frame, locates the ball, and flashes powerful upper-body strength getting off blocks. He can give up ground at times, but he’s capable of occupying double-teams without getting blown off the ball.
He drives blockers into the backfield, stays in his gap, and tracks the ballcarrier when working down the line against zone runs. Alexander is also a reliable wrap-up tackler between the tackles, recording 6.5 tackles for loss in 2025.
As a pass rusher, he collapses the pocket and moves quarterbacks off their spots with a powerful bull rush. He flashes a strong slap-to-rip move and the ability to beat interior offensive linemen cleanly with his hands. He closes well in a straight line and chases the quarterback with good effort. That said, his pass rush upside is limited because he doesn’t redirect well enough to consistently finish at the quarterback, evidenced by just one sack in 2025.
Alexander played at Georgia as a freshman before transferring to USC, where he started 12 games and recorded 48 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks in 2023. After redshirting in 2024, he transferred to Oregon and started 12 of 15 games in 2025, posting a career-high 50 tackles and earning second-team All–Big Ten honors.
