The Takeaway

The Player

Peak is a work in progress, but his tape is encouraging, and he has the tools to develop. He’s an athletic zone blocker with the lateral quickness to seal front-side defenders and cut off backside defenders. He tracks linebackers well and is smooth climbing to the second level as a zone or combo blocker.

He’s more of a positional blocker than a people mover, but he flashes the ability to generate push when he wins with his hands. Peak moves well, can uncoil on defenders when pulling, and plays with a bit of an edge.

His hand placement and footwork need improvement. He frequently latches on to the outside of defenders’ shoulder pads and can hug defenders. He’s top-heavy, causing him to fall off blocks and whiff at times. He’s also vulnerable inside when his second step covers too much ground.

Peak is quick and agile enough to develop as a pass blocker. He gets out of his stance well, meets edge rushers at the top of his set when his footwork is sound, and mirrors well once locked. His awareness stands out, as he recognizes and reacts well to blitzes and line stunts.

Technical lapses remain the biggest concern. Peak needs to improve the angles of his kick steps, tighten his footwork, and power down more effectively against inside moves. He can lunge and overextend at the top of his sets, bend too much at the waist, and give up ground. However, he can anchor when his hands are properly placed.

Peak played 39 games and started 32 over four seasons at NC State, including 19 starts at right tackle before moving to left tackle in 2025. He transferred to South Carolina in 2026 but missed spring drills after injuring his leg playing basketball during the offseason.
