The Takeaway

The Player

Seaton is a plus athlete for his size and the position. He is quick, mirrors well, and can recover when caught out of position as a pass blocker. He can lock down defenders when he times his punch and gets his hands inside, and he bends well enough to hold his ground against power rushers.

His awareness stands out. Seaton does a good job of identifying, and picking up defenders against the blitz, and he has a good feel for handling stunts. However, his punch and footwork became less consistent late in the 2025 season.

Seaton fits best in a zone-heavy run scheme. He can seal front-side edge defenders, cut off backside defensive linemen, and cover linebackers at the second level. His burst and range are particularly impressive when he pulls.

He flashes the ability to latch on to, lift, and drive defenders, but he has ample room for improvement as a drive blocker. Seaton needs to get stronger, play with better pad level, and get vertical once engaged. He can duck his head, lean, and fall off blocks, and he needs to do a better job of working his path as a zone blocker.

Seaton started 22 games at left tackle over two seasons at Colorado before transferring to LSU in the spring of 2026. He missed the final three games of 2025 with an injury.
