Trey'Dez Green

The Player

Green is a versatile playmaker with rare talent and upside. He flashes upside as a route runner and can separate from man coverage both when releasing in line and when working out of the slot. A big target with a basketball background, Green can find pockets and box out against zone. His frame and ability to make contested catches also create problems for defensive backs outside; four of his seven touchdown catches in 2025 came on 50-50 balls.

Green catches passes in stride and is dangerous after the catch. He’s quick, breaks tackles, and can make defenders miss, while his long strides help him chew up turf with a free release. He tracks the ball well and has the body control to adjust to passes thrown behind him.

He’s a hands catcher with an outstanding wingspan and the ability to make difficult contested catches, although he could become more consistent in 50-50 situations and has some focus drops.

His blocking is the biggest concern. Green can overwhelm defenders as a move blocker in space and will compete, but he gets overpowered as an in-line blocker because of his lean frame.

Green earned second-team All-SEC honors after catching 33 passes for 433 yards and a team-leading seven touchdowns in 2025. He set LSU’s single-season record for receiving touchdowns by a tight end and already owns the school’s career record at the position, with 11. His combination of size, athleticism, versatility, and receiving ability gives him significant mismatch potential at the next level.
