The Takeaway

The Player

Miller is a nose tackle prospect with enough versatility to play as a 2i- and 5-technique.  He possesses a desirable blend of height, bulk, mobility, and strength with average length. He’s an early-down run stuffer with ascending pass-rush production. In his two years as a starter at Georgia, Miller posted 50 tackles, 7.5 TFL and 3 sacks in 26 games. He improved his pass rush win rate in each of his final three seasons, finishing 2025 with 11.5 percent on 244 attempts.

Miller carries his weight extremely well and is light on his feet for his size. He also flashes some pop in his hands and occasionally will get an interior offensive lineman on his heels and drive him back to the quarterback. Miller is a balanced player with good traits but he doesn’t really have a dominant trait. He needs to be a technician with great recognition and motor in order to produce pressure as a pass rusher, and even when he applies pressure as a pass rusher, he’s not a very good finisher.

He’s a really strong and gap-sound run defender, but again, not dominant. He plays with a good center of gravity and doesn’t leave his feet too often (unless in an attempt to make a tackle). He has some snap in his hands and once he locates the ball, he does a really good job of disengaging from a position of leverage. He anticipates the snap well and fires out with leverage and good forward lean.

The Draft

Miller rated higher than he should have been early in the draft process. But at the end of the day, he’s a really solid run defender with some improving pass-rush production.  We don’t think he’s worth the cost of a first- or second-round pick, but he provides good value in Round 3.

The Projection

Miller grades out as a rotational contributor as a rookie and could emerge as a starter down the road. He will be best served on early downs and enters the league with experience playing as a 0-, 2i-, and 5-technique in UGA’s base three-man front. Miller shares some similarities with Davon Godchaux (Saints), who has outplayed his fifth-round draft slot during his nine-year career. They have similar builds and profiles as better run defenders than pass rushers but also with some positional flex along the defensive front.
