The Takeaway

The Player

Everette is a fundamentally sound press corner with an NFL frame and an impressive blend of size, length, and speed. He ran the second-fastest 40-yard dash among corners at the combine, so he can stay in phase with most receivers and recover when he gets caught out of phase. He tied for the third-quickest 10-yard split among corners at the combine, and he closes well when breaking on passes and can deliver big hits after the catch. He can read the quarterback and come off his initial assignment to make a play on the ball in zone looks. He had a career-high seven passes defended in 2025. He reaches in, rips at the ball, and plays through receivers’ hands. He led Georgia with three interceptions in 2024. His hands are big, his hand-eye coordination is good, and he flashes the ability to high-point passes.

Everette’s tape doesn’t quite match his level of talent, and his 2024 tape is better than what he showed in 2025. He gets beaten off the line and gives up early separation. He can get grabby when he starts to lose. He gives receivers too much of a cushion, struggles to recover from bad angles, and can give up chunk yards after the catch. He needs to improve his ability to track and adjust to the deep ball.

He closes well when he blitzes, is willing to stick his face in the fan, and doesn’t miss many tackles as a run defender. He primarily lined up at wide corner but has also lined up over the slot for 125 snaps over the course of his college career, according to PFF. A three-year starter at Georgia, he covered kickoffs earlier in his career. He underwent sports hernia surgery following the 2024 season and missed the 2025 season opener with an ankle injury.

The Draft

At least one Georgia defensive back has been drafted in each of the past five drafts, and that trend should continue this year, as Everette is a top-15 corner and a potential top-100 pick.

The Projection

Everette has the tools to develop into a starter, but he could start off as a backup and special teams contributor. His build and test scores are similar to those of 2022 second-round pick Alontae Taylor, who has started in 53 of his 64 NFL games.
