The Takeaway

The Player

Lee doesn’t have great top-end speed, but there is a lot to like about his frame, length, and burst. He reads receivers, gets his eyes on the quarterback, and drives on the ball in off coverage. He closes well, undercuts routes, and delivers big hits while limiting production after the catch. He turns to locate the ball when he’s in phase, and he has some upside as a press corner. He’s instinctive and quick enough to stay in phase underneath. He didn’t intercept a pass in 2025, but he finished his FBS career with 22 passes defended and four interceptions.

Lee can get beaten over the top and doesn’t recover well when he gets caught out of position. He improved over the course of last season, but he bit on double moves and got beaten at the line of scrimmage early in 2025. He gets grabby when he starts to lose. His instincts in man are better than they are in zone. He can get manipulated by the quarterback’s eyes and drift out of position. He’s tall and long but also lean, and bigger receivers can give him problems at the top of routes and in 50-50 situations.

He gets stuck on blocks, and he loses contain as a run defender. As a tackler, he’s more consistent after the catch than he is in run support. He played for Iowa Western Community College for one year and Kansas State for one year before transferring to Texas A&M in 2024.

The Draft

Lee is a top-15 corner with a good chance of getting selected on day two of the draft. He was one of 13 Texas A&M players invited to the combine, which led all schools and is a school record.

The Projection

Lee will need to be protected at times, but he has the skill set to develop into a starter in a press- or zone-heavy scheme. His game has shades of 2020 second-round pick Jaylon Johnson. Johnson has started 78 games in six seasons.
