Banks’s evaluation is muddled by the fact he missed almost all of the 2025 season to a foot injury, but he’ll pique the interest of teams who buy into the Planet Theory of drafting: You just can’t find many guys his size who can move so well. Sporting a tall, well-built frame with very long arms and meat-hook hands, he spent three years at Florida after starting his career at Louisville. His best season came in 2024, when he posted 4.5 sacks, seven tackles for a loss, and 29 pressures, per PFF, along with two forced fumbles. Banks fires out of his stance at the snap, shooting his hands into opponents to shock them and set them back on their heels. He knows how to exploit his length to keep linemen off his chest and off balance. He’s a nimble mover for his size, showing surprising agility and lateral burst to change gaps or pursue the ballcarrier. He plays with strong hands to lock in to opposing linemen and shows the upper-body power to rip and wrench opponents out of the way. He has an effective swim move and a whirling spin move that leaves opposing linemen lunging. He keeps his feet moving from snap to whistle, churning his feet and straining to collapse the pocket. He gets his hands up to try to affect passing lanes and knock down throws.
Banks’s aggressive style can be used against him, and he’s too easily trapped or steered out of the play. He pops up out of his stance and plays too high at times, quickly losing leverage while being pushed off his spot. He needs to finish more consistently. He’ll get into the backfield and have a shot at the quarterback or ballcarrier, but then fails to bring him down. He broke his foot in the preseason in 2025, then re-aggravated it when he tried to return.
