Boston is a big-bodied pass catcher who plays with a hard-to-find combination of fluidity and power; he boasts rare body control and seems to levitate in the air to pull down passes in traffic and erase inaccuracies from the quarterback. A two-year starter for the Huskies with a nose for the end zone, Boston caught 20 touchdowns in his college career, adding a rushing score and a punt return TD to his résumé. He lined up primarily outside for Washington, bringing the size and play strength to beat press and get downfield. But he flashed the ability to play out of the slot, too, and could be utilized as a mismatch threat over the middle. He’s a smooth mover who has the ability to gear down quickly and change directions on comeback routes or digs. He transitions from catch to run seamlessly, showing the ability to go up, spin, come down, and keep rolling without losing his balance. Boston brings excellent awareness of the sideline to get his feet in bounds, and he has a penchant for the acrobatic catch; he will go down low to scoop a pass or up high to pluck it at its highest point. He’s tough over the middle, showing the focus to see the ball into his hands and secure it even when he knows a hit is coming. And he’s a monster in tight-coverage situations; he caught 10 of 13 contested catch opportunities in 2025, per PFF, and tallied just two total drops last year. He works hard at blocking, using his big frame to wall off defenders and stay engaged. He is a surprisingly good punt returner for a larger-bodied receiver.
Boston is a physical player but needs to be more consistent getting off the line cleanly; there are times when he’s slowed at the line, disrupting timing. He brings build-up speed on deep routes but is not the most explosive or agile in the short area. He lacks top-tier separation skills and will need to work on expanding his release package and his route-tree repertoire.
