Height is an undersized but super-explosive defender who channels Crazylegs Hirsch, rushing with a bowlegged, chop-step style that helps him stay balanced but also makes it hard for tackles to tell where the hell he’s going on any given snap. A sixth-year player who transferred to Texas Tech in 2025 after stops at USC, Georgia Tech, and Auburn, he racked up nine sacks and 11.5 tackles for a loss last year in 14 games while notching 62 pressures, per PFF, which ranked seventh among all edge players. He’s a flexible and loose athlete who changes directions on a dime and can dip and rip around the edge. He brings an excellent inside countermove, feinting to the high side before juking back inside. He has an excellent spin move and shows skills as a hand fighter, punching and swatting and clubbing away the hands of opposing tackles to keep himself clean. He shows a knack for slipping and strafing through gaps on outside runs to meet the runner in the backfield.
Height is undersized and lacks play strength at the point of attack. He can be sealed away from the play and lose his gap. He’s occasionally a beat late to react to the run and allows the run to spill. He may need to bulk up if he’s going to play on all three downs. He’s a sixth-year senior who will turn 25 before draft night.
