Roush has an uncommon combination of elite size and natural movement skills at tight end, offering the upside to succeed as an every-down Y tight end. A three-year starter for the Cardinal, he tallied 119 receptions for 1,201 yards and four touchdowns in his career. His best season came in 2025, when he finished second on the team in catches (49) and yards (545) and had two touchdowns. He explodes off the line as a route runner. He’s physical and strong, using his hands to discard coverage and avoid being slowed down. He’s a smooth mover downfield and covers a lot of green with long strides and build-up speed. He’s a reliable target in the short and intermediate area and isn’t easy to bring down in the open field. As a blocker, he shows good pop, with a strong punch to set defensive linemen on their heels. He latches on and runs his feet to create movement, using vice-grip hands to stay engaged. He has a strong upper body to twist and torque defenders off-balance. He deftly moves from block to block when he climbs to the second level.

Roush lacks elite twitch as a route runner and is not a great separator. He profiles as an underneath and intermediate option primarily, and his college production was underwhelming, with just four total touchdown catches. His hands are inconsistent. He had seven drops in 2025 and a career drop rate of 9.8 percent, according to PFF, and despite his big frame, he did not consistently dominate at the catch point. He leans and gets too far over his skis at times when blocking, allowing himself to be pulled off-balance.
